Microsoft Fabric icons: common questions

Are these the official Microsoft Fabric icons?

Yes. The Fabric icons here come from Microsoft's own Fabric icon set; Microsoft Icon Vault only organizes them so they are easy to search and download. The data source section also includes logos of third-party products that Fabric connects to, which belong to their respective owners.

Are the Microsoft Fabric icons free to download?

Yes. Every icon downloads free, with no account or sign-up. The icons are Microsoft trademarks, so how you may use them is governed by Microsoft's brand guidelines; the FAQ explains the licensing in full.

Which formats are the Fabric icons available in?

Every icon is available as SVG, which stays sharp at any size, and as transparent PNG at 64, 128, 256 and 512 pixels.

What is the difference between the colour and the black Fabric icons?

The black icons are single-colour versions of common Fabric items and workloads. Use them where colour icons would be too busy, in monochrome diagrams, or for print.

How do I use the Fabric icons in draw.io or PowerPoint?

Download the icons you need as SVG and drag them onto the canvas or slide; SVG scales without losing quality. For draw.io you can also import the whole set as a custom shape library.
